Due to lunar eclipse, darshan of Ramlala and other major temples in Ayodhya will remain closed for 9 hours

Ayodhya: Darshan of Ramlala and other major temples in Ayodhya will be closed for 9 hours due to lunar eclipse on Sunday, September 7. Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appealed to the devotees not to come to Ayodhya during this period.

According to astrological beliefs, Sutak Kaal starts 9 hours before the lunar eclipse, which is considered inauspicious. This Sutak Kaal will start from 12:30 pm on September 7, due to which the doors of all the major temples in Ayodhya will be closed.

The lunar eclipse will start at 9:59 pm and will last till 1:29 am. Sutak Kaal ends only after the eclipse. Because of this, darshan of Ramlala will not be possible on Sunday. After the Sutak Kaal ends, the doors of the temples will be opened again with Mangala Aarti on Monday morning. Only after that the devotees will be able to have darshan of God.

According to religious beliefs, no one is allowed to eat food during the Sutak Kaal except children and the elderly. This time is considered most auspicious for singing bhajans, chanting mantras and meditating. The trust has appealed to all the devotees to plan their journey keeping this change in mind.
