Thiruvananthapuram, 12 October 2025: More than 10,000 runners transformed the Thiruvananthapuram cityscape into an incredible marathon track as they wholeheartedly participated in the second edition of the UST Trivandrum Marathon 2025 on Sunday, October 12. Organised by UST, a prominent AI and technology transformation solutions company, in collaboration with NEB Sports, the second iteration of the largest-ever marathon in the state capital turned out to be a major success, with celebrities joining the event.

Led by actor-model-fitness enthusiast Milind Soman, who is also the brand ambassador to the event, Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Anu Kumari IAS; Air marshal Tarun Chaudhary VSM, SASO Southern Air Command; badminton ace U Vimal Kumar; Narendra Nath Veluri IFS, Conservator of Forests, HRD, Govt of Kerala Forest and wildlife; were also part of the mega event. Alexander Varghese, President; Manu Gopinath, President; Gilroy Mathew, COO; Praveen Prabhakaran, COO; Sunil Balakrishnan, Chief Values Officer; Colleen Doherty, CPO; Lesile Schultz, CMO; Shilpa Menon, Senior Director and Center Head-Trivandrum; Sheffi Anwar, General Manager; from UST were also present. The UST Trivandrum Marathon 2025, which started at the UST Thiruvananthapuram campus and traversed around the city, included four different categories, such as the full marathon, half marathon, 10K run, and 5K run.

The UST Trivandrum Marathon 2025 had evoked much interest from many in the state capital city and beyond, as registrations had come in right till the start of the event. The number of runners went beyond the 10,000 mark, making the event a major success. Over Rs 22 lakh of prize money was received by the winners across all the categories.

“I’m glad that the second edition of the UST Trivandrum Marathon proved to be a bigger success compared to last year. Participant numbers going beyond the 10,000 mark is indeed heartening. Our commitment to spread awareness on the importance of a healthy society and also the physical and mental well-being of the people gets a boost with this Marathon. I congratulate all the winners and participants,” said Alexander Varghese, President, UST.
