Mumbai: The show “KBC 17” features several contestants who share their struggle stories with Amitabh Bachchan. In a recently shared promo, Priyanka Kumari, a native of Bihar, sat on the hot seat of “KBC 17.” Priyanka told Amitabh Bachchan about her father’s struggles as a chaat vendor. Upon hearing this, Amitabh Bachchan praised the contestant’s father.
In the promo of ‘KBC 17’, Priyanka Kumari tells Amitabh Bachchan, “I am a student, preparing for the civil services. I wanted to be able to support myself no matter what. I don’t want to be a burden on my father.” She further adds, “I give tuitions so that I can earn some money so that I can support my father.”
Pointing to her father sitting in the audience, Priyanka continued, “The person who has come with me today is the real hero of my life. My dad. He runs a chaat stall. Everyone else gets days off, Sundays, holidays, but my dad never takes days off. Sunshine, rain, any weather, whatever, he always goes to work. And his hard work and his support have brought me here today.”
Amitabh Bachchan looked at Priyanka Kumari’s father and said, “It’s a matter of great pride that you’re thinking so much about your daughter.” Priyanka Kumari’s father further explained that people ask why he’s educating his daughter, but he doesn’t think that way. He said, “Look, it’s because of my daughter that I’m able to see a great personality like you in person.”
