“RSS is the root of all the chaos, it should be banned,” Mallikarjun Kharge targeted the Modi government

New Delhi:  Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said  that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) should be banned again as it is responsible for most of the law and order problems in the country. He also said that these are his personal views.

“My personal view is that a ban should be imposed,” Kharge said, responding to a question about a statement by Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, who claimed that the RSS and the BJP were responsible for most of the law and order problems in the country.

The Congress president also claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is adept at turning lies into truth. He said that Patel banned the RSS to protect India’s secular and democratic character. He said, “If you blame the Congress for everything, then look at your own actions.”

Kharge said, “No matter how much you try to erase the truth, it will not be erased.” He added, “They (the Prime Minister and the BJP) always try to portray a conflict between independent India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and the country’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, even though Nehru and Patel had a very good relationship, and Patel had described Nehru as the leader of the people.”

He said, “I want to tell the BJP not to look for pebbles in the curd. Everyone knows your history. Nehru was the first to unveil Patel’s statue in Gujarat and lay the foundation stone for the Sardar Sarovar Dam.”
