From pension to gas: New rules from December 1 will affect the common man’s pocket

New Delhi:  The month of November is now in its final stages. Monday marks the beginning of the new month of December. With the start of December, many major changes will also take place. And there are also deadlines for completing many tasks, so if you have any pending work that’s due by November 30th, get it done soon. Otherwise, you might face trouble. Will the major changes taking place on December 1st benefit the general public or increase the burden on your pockets? Find out here.

LPG Gas Cylinder Price

New prices are released on the 1st of every month based on international market trends. New rates for domestic and commercial LPG cylinders will also be implemented on December 1st. Whether prices will increase or decrease will be determined on December 1st. This change will have a direct impact on the common man’s budget.

Income Tax Filing

The deadline for many tax-related tasks is November 30. So, if you have pending TDS statements (sections 194-IA, 194-IB, etc.) and transfer-pricing reports (section 92E), get them done quickly, or you could face penalties from December 1.

Life Certificate

Pensioners are required to submit an annual life certificate by November 30th of each year to ensure continued monthly pension payments. Failure to submit it on time may result in pension withholding. Banks do not offer a second opportunity until December 1st.

ATF prices

Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices will also change from December 1st. This could impact airfares. This means that air travel is expected to face increased burdens from December 1st.
