New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor often makes headlines. This time, he’s in the news for not attending a Congress meeting. However, he has now revealed the reason. On Monday (December 1), Tharoor himself explained why he skipped a key Congress strategy meeting. This strategic meeting was attended by several prominent leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Jairam Ramesh.
Tharoor arrived at Parliament on Monday for the winter session. Responding to a question from reporters, he said on camera, “I didn’t intentionally miss the meeting. I was on a flight. I was returning from Kerala.” Congress had scheduled a key strategic meeting on Sunday (November 30), chaired by Sonia Gandhi herself, but Tharoor was unable to attend. Significantly, he has missed Congress meetings before.
