Thiruvananthapuram, 14 May 2026: Continuing with its efforts towards extending a helping hand to the needy, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of leading AI and digital transformation solutions company UST has contributed hearing aids to the National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH), Thiruvananthapuram. The hearing aids, worth Rs. 2,36,000, were handed over to NISH, and they will be used to support patients with hearing impairments.
The Thiruvananthapuram-based NISH is a comprehensive multi-purpose institute focusing on the identification, intervention, rehabilitation and education of individuals with disabilities. The institute has made significant contributions to improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities and has implemented various programmes for the differently abled, across the state. NISH functions from an inclusive campus that houses students and staff with diverse abilities.
The latest CSR initiative marks the continuation of UST’s commitment towards fostering inclusivity and contributing positively to the community. By supporting the needs of the patients with hearing disabilities at NISH, UST is ensuring that the efforts undertaken by the company’s CSR team creates a meaningful impact in its efforts aimed at supporting the patients at the institute.
The hearing aid devices handed over by UST help in improving communication, enhancing quality of life, and enabling individuals with hearing impairments to engage more confidently in their daily activities.

The devices were handed over at a ceremony organised at NISH. A UST team led by Shilpa Menon, Vice President and Center Head, Thiruvananthapuram campus; and comprising Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Lead; Ramu Krishna, CSR Lead; Najina Mohamed, Senior Delivery Manager; and Roshni Das K, Senior Lead – PR & Marketing, Kerala, were present.
