Pedicure at Home: A pedicure at home can make your feet beautiful, but this mistake can be costly

Getting a pedicure at home is a great way to keep your feet clean, beautiful, and relaxed. However, even a small mistake can lead to problems like infection or dry skin. Therefore, avoiding some common pedicure mistakes is crucial for achieving beautiful and healthy feet.

In today’s busy life, not everyone has time to go to the parlor, hence many women and men prefer to do pedicure at home. This not only saves money but is also a good way to relieve tiredness of the feet. But while doing pedicure at home, people often make some mistakes which can harm the feet instead of benefiting them.

Small mistakes like cutting nails incorrectly or rubbing the heels excessively can make the skin of the feet dry and lifeless, not only this, it can also increase the risk of infection, hence it is very important to take special care of some things while doing pedicure at home.

Do not use very hot water: Avoid using very hot water to soak your feet, this reduces the natural moisture of the feet and can make the skin dry. Always use lukewarm water for pedicure.

Do not rub wet feet too hard: Do not rub the feet with pumice stone or scrubber too hard immediately after taking them out of water, this can peel off the skin and increase the risk of cracked heels. Always clean the dead skin with gentle hands.

Don’t cut your nails the wrong way: Avoid cutting your toenails too round or too deep at the edges. They should always be cut straight across. If the nails are cut the wrong way, they can grow into the skin, this is called ingrown nail, which can cause a lot of pain and discomfort.

Don’t cut your cuticles: The thin skin around your nails, called cuticles, protects against bacteria, so instead of cutting them with a cutter, gently push them back with a cuticle pusher.

Don’t forget to apply moisturizer: Scrubbing after pedicure opens the pores of the skin, in such a situation, if you do not apply foot cream or moisturizer, then the feet may become more dry and hard, hence, apply moisturizer after pedicure.
