Four people, including a teacher and a student, died in a school shooting in Thailand

Bangkok : Chaos erupted at a Thai school on Friday when a student suddenly opened fire indiscriminately. Four people, including a teacher, were killed in the horrific incident, while several others were seriously injured. Local police and security forces responded swiftly and took control of the entire campus.

The shocking shooting occurred at the prestigious Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province, north of Bangkok. It is a large secondary school with approximately 3,000 students. Upon receiving information about the incident, rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene and evacuated the frightened students to safety.

According to senior Nonthaburi provincial police officials, the suspected student attacker has committed suicide. While initial reports have varied on the exact number and identity of the deceased, police and local relief groups have confirmed that the attacker took his own life.

This horrific incident has once again raised serious questions about the availability of weapons and strict security regulations in Southeast Asia. Statistics show that Thailand has a high number of firearms owned by its citizens, and the country ranks second in gun violence in the region after the Philippines.
