Prashant Kishor Announces Push for 7th Pay Commission Benefits for Teachers Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Chhapra: A large public meeting was held at HS City Garden in Hemnagar, Chhapra, on Saturday to mark the nomination of Jan Suraaj candidate Afaq Ahmed for the Saran Teachers’ Constituency. Jan Suraaj leader and MLA Prashant Kishor attended the event as a special guest. He appealed to voters to support Afaq Ahmed in large numbers and outlined the party’s priorities on several pressing issues, including teachers’ pay scales.

Addressing the gathering, Prashant Kishor said that during the previous Teachers’ Constituency election, he had neither a political party nor a strong organizational structure. Despite this, he said, teachers and graduate voters in Saran had extended strong support to Afaq Ahmed.

“This time, Jan Suraaj has the full strength of its organization and a dedicated team of workers,” Kishor said. He assured the gathering that if Afaq Ahmed wins the election, one of Jan Suraaj Party’s top priorities will be to secure benefits under the Seventh Pay Commission for teachers before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During his address, Kishor strongly criticized the NDA, BJP, and RJD, alleging that these parties have long relied on politics based on caste, religion, and fear, adversely affecting Bihar’s social and economic development.

He also criticized the state and central governments over issues such as rising crime, corruption, and recurring floods in Bihar.

State President Manoj Bharti, Kishore Kumar Munna, District President Anand Mohan Singh, and numerous party office-bearers and workers from various districts were present at the meeting.
