When will Chhath festival start; know the date and auspicious time

There are many fasts and festivals in Hindu religion and all of them have their own significance. Chhath festival is also included in this list which is known as Mahaparva. This festival is dedicated to the worship of Lord Suryadev.

Chhath is celebrated mostly in Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that by performing Chhath Puja as per the rituals, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.

Many rules have been given regarding the festival of Chhath, according to which the fasting person meditates on the Sun God at the time of sunrise and sunset and offers water to him. It is believed that by observing this fast, one gets all kinds of comforts and facilities. And the sufferings reduce. Chhath festival can be celebrated by any man or woman, so today we are providing you information about the date and time of this festival.

Date of Chhath Vrat-
According to the Panchang, Chhath Puja takes place every year on the Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month which falls between the months of October and November. This year Chhath Puja will start from 17th November and continue till 20th November. The date of Nahay Khae is 17th November, the date of Kharna is 18th November, water will be given to the setting sun on 19th November. So it will be auspicious to give water to the rising sun on 20th November.

Auspicious time for worship –
For worship, the best time to offer water to the setting sun is 5.26 pm and the auspicious time to offer water to the rising sun is 6.47 am.
