Pankaj Kumar Singh, who won from Vikaspuri seat, will take oath as minister at Ramlila Maidan. Pankaj Kumar has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Pankaj has been active in politics for a long time. He has also handled many responsibilities in Delhi Municipal Corporation. He is the son of late Raja Mohan Singh who has been a former commissioner of MCD. His wife is also a dentist by profession. He has two daughters.
Pankaj has become MLA for the first time. By making him a minister, BJP wants to woo the Purvanchali vote bank. Before becoming an MLA, he has been a Municipal Councilor. He defeated Mahendra Yadav of Aam Aadmi Party in the election. Advocate Jitendra Solanki from Congress was in the fray against him. 48-year-old Pankaj Singh has assets worth Rs 4.94 crore. A criminal case is registered against him. According to the election affidavit, Pankaj does not own any vehicle. However, his wife has a Maruti car. Apart from being a dentist, she is also a social worker. Pankaj has 15 grams of gold worth Rs 1,20,000. Many big faces have been made ministers. These include MLA Pravesh Verma from New Delhi, Ashish Sood from Janakpuri, Manjinder Singh Sirsa from Rajouri Garden, Kapil Mishra from Karawal Nagar, Ravindra Indraraj from Bawana and Pankaj Singh from Vikaspuri seat.
