Actress Huma Qureshi has so far done three seasons of a web series called ‘Maharani’, in which she appears in the lead role. Her work in this series was highly appreciated. ‘Maharani’ is also among the most watched series. Despite all this, Huma Qureshi gets much less fees than male actors. She raises questions on this difference.
Recently Huma Qureshi told that despite the series ‘Maharani’ being the most watched, she still gets less fees than male actors. This happens in films, the same scene is there on OTT as well. She tells that famous actors working on OTT get a fee of about Rs 45 crore but actresses do not get that much fee. Huma questions this difference in fees.
Huma Qureshi further says, ‘It is all like this.’ But she hopes that this situation will change through dialogue and discussion. The fourth season of her series ‘Maharani’ will also come soon, in this too she will play the role of Rani Bharti.
She has also praised this platform. Huma believes that this platform has opened new doors for Jaideep Ahlawat, Shefali Shah and her. Now Huma Qureshi and these actors are becoming a part of good stories.
Apart from the web series ‘Maharani 4’, Huma Qureshi also has offers for some films. She is a part of films like ‘Toxic’, ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ and ‘Gulabjaam’. ‘Toxic’ is a Kannada film starring ‘KGF’ fame actor Yash in the lead role.
