Bihar elections: BJP appoints Dharmendra Pradhan as in-charge

The dates for the Bihar elections have not yet been announced, but all parties are fully prepared. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party made a major announcement on Thursday (September 25). The BJP has announced its in-charges for the Bihar and West Bengal elections. The party has appointed Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the in-charge for the Bihar elections, entrusting him with significant responsibility. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav have also been given important responsibilities.

The BJP has appointed CR Patil and Keshav Prasad Maurya as co-in-charges for the Bihar elections. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav will play a key role in the Bengal elections. He has been appointed in-charge, while Biplab Deb has been appointed co-in-charge. For the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vaijayant Jaypanda has been appointed election in-charge, and Muralidhar Mahal has been appointed co-in-charge.

This time, the Bihar elections will be a contest between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. Speaking of Dharmendra Pradhan, he has held important party responsibilities on several occasions. He has been given significant electoral responsibilities in states like Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. Dharmendra Pradhan’s strategic skills and organizational abilities could prove useful for the NDA in Bihar. He hails from Odisha and possesses a strong strategic understanding.

Speaking of West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress has a strong hold here. Shaking the TMC’s stronghold will not be easy for any party. In such a situation, the BJP will have high hopes from Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav. Yadav has considerable organizational experience. Elections are due in Bengal in 2026, giving him time to prepare.

The BJP has appointed Odisha MP Baijayant Panda as the election in-charge for Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu will also hold elections in 2026. The BJP may explore the possibility of an alliance with the DMK-AIADMK before next year’s elections.
