New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has completely rejected Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of vote theft. Taking a dig at the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha for his hydrogen bomb claim, he said that he has not even been able to light a firecracker. Regarding the questions raised on the SIRs of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav before the Bihar elections, the Union Minister said that the Election Commission has given its clarification on this.
Speaking to the media, the Union Defense Minister sharply targeted the Congress leader. Regarding allegations of vote-rigging in Bihar, he said, “He hasn’t been able to present a single concrete case regarding this matter. The Election Commission has repeatedly said that if you have any kind of complaint, bring it or go to court. But he doesn’t do anything like that. He talks about dropping hydrogen bombs or nuclear bombs, but in reality, he hasn’t even been able to light a small firecracker.”
The Defense Minister also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of vote theft in the Haryana and Maharashtra elections. He said, “He led a march for this, but he got nothing. But now he’s talking about the elections that have already happened. You can’t do politics for long by deceiving people.”
Further targeting other opposition parties opposing the SIR, Singh said that these people are actually violating the democratic rights of legitimate voters. He said, “I want to ask them that the names of those who came from outside, the infiltrators, who were on the Bihar voter list, are now being removed. There are also many people who have permanently left Bihar in search of livelihood or who have passed away. Their names simply won’t be on the voter list. So what problem do they have with this?”
