Rajasthan Congress gets task in the new year

Jaipur: The Congress party, which held protests across the state last December on the Aravalli issue, will now be actively involved in protests in the new year. The All India Congress Committee has directed the Congress party to take to the streets against the Modi government and the BJP on the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). These protests will begin on January 5th and continue until January 30th.

The All India Congress Committee has launched a campaign against the central government over the renaming of MNREGA and several other changes. In this context, a circular has been issued regarding protests in all states. In Rajasthan, the Congress party will also take to the streets starting January 5th, and a roadmap has been prepared. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara stated that the Congress party will hold protests throughout January on the MNREGA issue, which will be held at the state, district, block, division, and booth levels. He added that a roadmap has also been prepared outlining where, how many, and how the protests will be held. He stated that special focus will be placed on this issue, especially in rural areas.

Public awareness campaigns will be launched in rural areas, as MNREGA has always provided employment to rural residents, and now their employment is being taken away. A state-level protest will be held first, followed by demonstrations in the districts. The PCC President stated that the Congress Party will hold protests against the renaming of MNREGA and the various amendments to it. Although the date for the state-level protests has not yet been finalized, a state-level protest will be held after January 10th. Protests will then be held at the district headquarters in all districts. Demonstrations will then be held at the divisional, booth, and block levels, where a memorandum will be submitted to the Collector in the name of the President, demanding that the original form of MNREGA not be altered and that the changes made by the central government be reversed.
