New Delhi: Commenting on the opposition’s attitude in Parliament, senior Janata Dal-United leader Sanjay Jha said that the opposition parties should cooperate in ensuring smooth functioning of the House and should raise constructive issues prominently. Speaking on the first day of the monsoon session, he stressed that the main responsibility of the MPs is to place the problems of their constituencies on the floor of the House. Praising the economic policies of the present government, Mr. Jha said that ensuring uninterrupted supply of LPG, petrol and diesel as well as keeping their prices under control is a major achievement of the government.
Sanjay Jha clarified that in a democracy, the opposition’s responsibility is to ensure meaningful debate within Parliament. He expressed hope that during the monsoon session, all MPs will engage in positive debate on public interest issues related to the development of their constituencies, so that the benefits of parliamentary proceedings can reach the general public.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State S.P. Singh Baghel, highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, noted the unprecedented growth in the number of startups in the country. He cited the Prime Minister’s statement praising the country’s youth for setting new benchmarks through startups in challenging fields like space and technology.
Mr. Baghel said that India’s progressive youth have earned a global recognition through their entrepreneurial spirit. He expressed confidence that with the central government’s encouragement to startups, India will not only become self-reliant in the future but will also emerge even stronger as a global center of innovation.
