Mumbai: Actress Tanushree Dutta has reportedly expressed serious doubts about the circumstances surrounding the alleged death of veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar, drawing possible connections to the cases involving Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian. She questioned whether his reported death could prevent future investigations or significant revelations.
To support her suspicions, Tanushree referred to other sensitive Bollywood cases, including the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager, Disha Salian. However, she did not present any concrete evidence to substantiate her claims. Her allegations and concerns have not been independently verified and remain her personal opinions.
Tanushree, who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement, reportedly made these remarks while interacting with her fans and followers during an Instagram Live session.
According to the article’s account, Nana Patekar passed away on October 8 at the age of 75 following a cardiac arrest. However, this report has not been independently verified. Tanushree maintained that if any connection exists between these cases, only an impartial and thorough investigation could uncover the truth.
She also expressed concern that, following Nana’s reported death, several serious allegations against him and important questions surrounding his conduct might remain unanswered.
Tanushree reiterated her previous allegations against Nana, stating that the alleged harassment had profoundly affected her personal life and professional career. The actress claimed that she had endured mental distress, significant professional setbacks, and numerous difficulties in her personal life.
She further alleged that unidentified individuals had attempted to intimidate her and that several suspicious activities had taken place outside her residence. According to Tanushree, the alleged harassment was not the work of a single individual but involved several people acting in a coordinated manner.
She explained that the prolonged stress and anxiety had severely affected her physical and mental well-being. Tanushree credited chanting mantras, meditation, and her spiritual beliefs with helping her overcome this difficult period.
The actress also argued that allegations against an individual and the experiences of those who have accused them should not automatically be dismissed following that person’s death.
To illustrate her point, she cited the example of Ravana from ancient Indian mythology, suggesting that a person’s actions should remain open to scrutiny even after their death and should be examined through the lens of history.
It is worth noting that Tanushree had accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment during the shooting of the 2008 film Horn OK Please. Nana Patekar has consistently denied the allegations.
