Film director and choreographer Ahmed Khan recently shared a special thing about his film ‘Lakeer- Forbidden Lines’ in an interview. He told that Sunny Deol had agreed to work in the film ‘Lakeer’ without listening to the entire script. This action-drama film ‘Lakeer- Forbidden Lines’ was released in the year 2004.
Talking about the film, Ahmed said, “Sunny and I have been friends for decades, and his company has always meant a lot to me. When I was directing my first film, I got a call from Sunny Deol’s office. I was playing football at that time. When I went to meet him after getting the call, he immediately said ‘yes’ to the film without any delay.” Ahmed said, “I didn’t even have to narrate the entire script. I just presented a glimpse of the story, and Sunny liked the idea so much that he agreed to do the film. He asked his team to fix the shooting dates as soon as possible.”
Apart from Sunny Deol, the film featured Sunil Shetty, John Abraham, Sohail Khan and Nauheed Cyrusi in lead roles. The music of the film was given by A.R. Rahman, who is one of the most famous composers of India. The background music was composed by Adesh Srivastava. The story of the film revolves around two characters Karan and Sahil. While Karan is the brother of a powerful man, Sahil has a brother and he is a simple and honest boy. The twist in the story comes when both of them fall in love with a girl named Bindiya. Talking about the work front, Sunny is currently busy shooting for ‘Border 2’. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty are also in lead roles in this film. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, while Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi are co-producers. It is a sequel to the 1997 hit film ‘Border’. ‘Border 2’ is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
