Congress’s historic “Jai Hind Sabha”: Army will be honored

New Delhi: Colonel Rohit Chaudhary, National President of Ex-Servicemen Department of All India Congress Committee, held a press conference on Wednesday. During this, he said that the Congress Party is going to organize Jai Hind Sabha across the country from May 25 in honor of the army. During this, soldiers and ex-servicemen will be honored. Along with this, answers to some questions will also be sought from the NDA government.

He further said that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, all the opposition parties have shown unity and supported the central government in every decision. We had told the government that we are with you. Wherever the masters of the terrorists are sitting and whoever they are, teach them a lesson. Three meetings of the Congress Working Committee were held and in all three it was decided that whatever action the government takes, we will support it and we did the same.

He further said that our brave soldiers not only destroyed 9 hideouts of the terrorists, but also gave a befitting reply to every attack from across the border. Every attack was foiled from Jammu and Kashmir to Bhuj. But, in the meantime ceasefire happened through a third party. That is why being the opposition, it is our responsibility to ask the government questions in this matter as to why this happened. The Pahalgam terror attack was the result of security failure. How did it happen, when before that on 17 April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to visit Kashmir. But after the input received from the security agencies, his visit was cancelled. If the security agencies had any input of a terror attack, then why was it not conveyed to the ground level?

On the issue of ceasefire, Colonel Rohit Chaudhary questioned that on ceasefire, the government said that a call came from Pakistan’s DGMO. Whereas the decision on ceasefire is to be taken by the government and not DGMO. So you should not politicize the army. Tell the country whether this decision was of the government or there was pressure from US President Donald Trump.
