Mandi: A video of actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, is rapidly going viral on social media. During a review meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in Mandi, MP Kangana Ranaut took a very tough stance. She strongly reprimanded administrative officials for the slowness and negligence in development work and made it clear that as a public representative, she would not tolerate any kind of laxity.
During the DISHA meeting, Kangana Ranaut sought answers from the officials on the slow progress of development projects in Mandi.
Demanding a full accounting of the budget allocated from the MPLADS, he said that despite the release of ₹11 crore for public development, the expected work on the ground had not been completed. Expressing displeasure with the officials’ working style, he said that government schemes cannot be made fun of in this manner and that officials must take their responsibilities seriously.
Angered by the lethargic attitude of the authorities, Kangana Ranaut specifically raised the issue of incomplete road projects in the area.
- Incomplete roads: He said that the construction work of 5 main roads of Mandi area is still pending, which is being continuously delayed.
- Helplessness before the media: He asked the officials what explanation they could give to the national media on such lazy working style and negligence of the officials of their own area.
- Warning of strict action: Kangana gave a clear message to the officials that she should not be considered just an actress, if needed she also knows well how to take strict action against the officers who are negligent.
