Muslim countries have a new security partnership, and will jointly respond in case of an attack

Riyadh: Amid ongoing conflict and a deepening security crisis in the Middle East, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey on Friday signed the strategic “Mecca Joint Defense Agreement.” The key objective of this landmark defense pact is to further strengthen security cooperation among the three countries and ensure regional stability during this period of uncertainty.

This new defense agreement contains a very strict and clear provision: According to it, any armed attack or external aggression against any one of these three friendly nations will be considered a collective attack against all three countries, and all three will respond jointly.

The agreement was confirmed in an official statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry clarified that the primary objective of this pact is to create a strong and collective security framework against any potential aggression, and to provide rapid assistance in times of crisis.

This historic agreement paves the way for a new dimension not only in regional security but also in the exchange of military equipment, defense technology, and strategic partnerships between the three countries. It is expected to have a profound impact on the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East in the future.
