Philadelphia: The Kerala Piravi Day celebration organized by the Tri-State Kerala Forum will be held on Sunday, November 8 at 4 pm at the Ascension Mar Thoma Church Auditorium (10197 Northeast Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116) with an extensive program. The event aims to uphold Kerala’s language, culture, and heritage while strengthening the unity, camaraderie, and friendship among the Malayali diaspora.

V. Aravind, Associate Executive Editor of 24 News, will be the chief guest at the celebration. His presence, as a prominent figure in the media industry, is expected to add special significance and prestige to the event. Renowned immigration attorney Mr. Ricky Palladino will attend as a distinguished guest. Their presence will provide opportunities to discuss and exchange views on topics relevant to the Malayali expatriate community in America.

Besides cultural and artistic programs, special discussions will be organized on themes such as senior care and retirement life. These will focus on important issues including the care of elderly parents and senior citizens in America, their health and social security, retirement readiness, financial planning, and family responsibilities. The discussions aim to offer valuable information and share experiences beneficial to expatriate Malayali families.

Another major highlight of the celebration will be a musical evening featuring various artistic performances, including music and dance. This concert, prepared with the participation of Malayali artists and talents from the Tri-State region, will add vibrancy and enthusiasm to the event.

Organizers emphasized that such celebrations play a crucial role in further strengthening Kerala’s cultural legacy among the expatriate community and the younger generation, fostering a deeper connection with the Malayalam language and culture. Although living thousands of miles away from Kerala, it is hoped that this celebration will become a significant gathering for expatriate Malayalis who hold Kerala’s heritage close to their hearts.

Thomas Paul, Chairman of the Tri-State Kerala Forum Kerala Day, is leading various arrangements to ensure the success of the event. The Executive Committee, chaired by Leno Skaria with Secretary Joby George and Treasurer Rajan Samuel, is actively involved in organizing the celebration.

A broad organizing committee comprising Vincent Emmanuel, Suresh Nair, Jeemon George, Binu Mathew, Rony Varghese, George Olikal, Alex Thomas, Sudh Karth, Abhilash John, Philip Cheriyan, Sumod Nellikala, Sajan Varghese, Ash Augustin, Dileep George, Arun Kovatt, Anish Joy, and John Panicker are also managing various responsibilities for the event.

The office bearers and organizing committee members have appealed to all Malayalis in Philadelphia and nearby areas to participate in the Tri-State Kerala Forum’s Kerala Piravi celebration with their families to make the event a grand success. Admission is free. The organizers warmly welcome all Malayali friends and their families to attend.
