Ayodhya: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has requested Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to allot between five and 10 acres of land in Ayodhya for the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, also known as Shri Balaji.
Naidu said establishing a Lord Venkateswara temple in Ayodhya, modeled on the renowned Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, would help deepen the spiritual and cultural connection between two of India’s prominent pilgrimage centers.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister made the proposal while attending a special programme associated with the Varanasi-Vadnagar Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present.
During his address, Naidu also referred to the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in the process.
Explaining the spiritual significance behind his proposal, Naidu said Lord Sri Rama is associated with the Treta Yuga, while Lord Venkateswara is revered as the manifest deity of the Kali Yuga.
He urged the Uttar Pradesh government to provide five to 10 acres of suitable land so that a major Lord Venkateswara shrine, inspired by the Tirupati temple, could be established in Ayodhya.
Naidu also praised Yogi Adityanath’s leadership and the Uttar Pradesh government’s management of large-scale religious gatherings. He cited the organisation of the Maha Kumbh as an example of the state’s administrative capabilities.
If the Uttar Pradesh government approves the land request, the proposal could pave the way for a major Lord Venkateswara temple in Ayodhya, adding another significant pilgrimage destination to the temple city.
