THE 108 FEET KEMPAGOWDA STATUE AT BENGALURU AIRPORT HAS ENTERED THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS

Bengaluru; A giant statue of Bengaluru founder Kempegowda to be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records. Known as the Statue of Prosperity, the 108-foot bronze statue is located at the Kempegowda International Airport outside Bengaluru. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it is the first tallest statue of a city’s founder.

On Wednesday, November 9, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the statue had set a world record. Bengaluru producer Nadaprabhu Kempagowda’s statue is our pride. Samriddhi is the first and tallest bronze statue according to the World Book of Records. The 108-foot statue represents Kempegowda’s vision of Bengaluru, CM Bommai said on Twitter.

Prime Minister Modi will unveil the ‘Statue of Prosperity’ during his visit to Bengaluru, where he will attend several events including the launch of the new Terminal 2 of the international airport. The bronze mammoth statue is built on a 23-acre site on the airport premises, which has been developed as a heritage park dedicated to Kempegowda. The massive statue, which includes a sword weighing four tonnes, has been built at a cost of over Rs 80 crore.
