Great captain Kapil Dev expressed deep concern over the injury of the Indian player

New Delhi: Former Indian team captain Kapil Dev has expressed concern over the fitness of star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Dev pointed out that even before injury players’ careers were ruined.

The 1983 World Cup winning captain was asked about the injured players of Team India. In response to this question, Kapil Dev said that the Indian team will become stronger if its key players are not ruled out due to injury.

Kapil Dev said in a conversation with ABP News, “Injuries are a part of every sportsperson’s life. I hope the situation will improve. I always worry about Hardik Pandya. They get injured very quickly. If all those players are fit then there is no sure team like India.

Note that Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah are not available for selection due to their injuries. The Indian team wants its key players to return to full fitness before the 2020 World Cup.

However, Hardik Pandya is on a break after captaining Gujarat Titans in IPL. Gujarat Titans entered the final of IPL 2023 but suffered a 5-wicket defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. Hardik Pandya will now be seen in cricket action on the West Indies tour.

A three-match ODI series will be played between India and West Indies, in which Hardik Pandya will be seen playing the role of vice-captain. After this, it is expected that Hardik Pandya will be seen captaining the Indian team in the five T20 International series against the West Indies. By the way, the BCCI has not yet announced the Indian team for the T20 International series on the West Indies tour.
