Shahrukh-Amitabh will be seen again on the big screen after 17 years

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shah Rukh Khan might be seen sharing screen space together once again after 17 years. Both the stars were last seen in ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’. According to media reports, the pair is all set to work together on a new project.

The news comes soon after Ranveer Singh was officially announced as the lead for the much-anticipated Farhan Akhtar film Don 3. It was rumored for a while that Big B and Shah Rukh would team up with Ranveer in the Don crossover. However, it is not yet clear in which project the two stars are going to work together. Recently, Shahrukh has also confirmed this fact in the Ask SRK session. He told that he enjoyed working with Big B after a long time. King Khan wrote, “It was great fun working with Amitabh Bachchan after so many years. He came for the shoot and gave his blessings. And you also have to tell that he beat me in the race.

Big B and Shah Rukh were last seen in the 2006 romantic film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, directed by Karan Johar. The film also starred Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Kirron Kher. Both have also shared the screen in superhit films like ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘Veer Zara’. Both the stars also worked in the film Brahmastra, but they did not have a single scene together.

On the work front, Amitabh is currently hosting the 15th season of the reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He has films like ‘Ganpath’, ‘The Umesh Chronicles’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and ‘Butterfly’ in the pipeline. At the same time, Shahrukh is preparing for the release of his action thriller ‘Jawan’. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, while Deepika Padukone and Sanya Malhotra will be seen in a special appearance. He will also be seen in a cameo role in Salman Khan starrer ‘Tiger 3’. Apart from this, he will also be seen in the film Danki, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, releasing this year.
