VishuThaineettam ‘22 -‘Tharuvum Thanalum – a sapling for shade’

As part of Vishuthaineetam ’22 AYUDH, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus, Kollam came up with a green initiative. More than 2500 seed balls and saplings were distributed among the students of the Amritapuri campus.

The Event was inaugurated by Indian music composer, songwriter, and playback singer Gowry Lekshmi on April 12, 2022. The event began with lamp lighting and was followed by a melodious singing of “Oru Thai nadam namukku ammaykku vendi”. To rejuvenate and replenish mother nature, AYUDH Amritapuri also relaunched AmritaVanam on the occasion of the aforementioned VishuThaineettam ‘22 with the theme, “Tharuvum Thanalum – a sapling for shade. Followed by cultural events including a rhythmic dance performance, mime depicting environmental imbalances and human conduct towards nature, and a euphonious musical band led by students.
